We don’t like plastic bags to begin with – RIGHT? Unfortunately, they exist and people use them – why? I don’t know – stupidity I assume. I forgot my re-usable bags last night at the market and instead of making the easy choice of plastic bags, I actually put some items back and carried the rest of my groceries home in my hands. Then I thought about the polar bear that I was NOT shooting in the face or the illegitimate child that will live in a healthy world due to my martyrdom and pioneering. How many of you use plastic bags in little garbage cans? How many of you HATE the look of the plastic folded over the top of your can? Solution…
The Tubelor Trash Can. Produced by the Japanese Ideaco Studio – this was the iF product design winner of 2008 and we can see why. Put your plastic bag in – slip the pastel colored tube over top and voila…hip, chic, trash can with no unsightly plastic bags. These are a little too colorful for me, but luckily they have made one in black for all the colorblind children of the world who despise color only as a F-you to the powers that stole color from my retina’s. If you must use plastic bags, at least re-use them, and if you are going to re-use them, at least make it look hot – unless you’re trash yourself, then….you’re on your own…
